About this opportunity

Opportunity Overview

Tencent Cloud International is hiring a Sales Intern to join its sales trainee program in Dubai, with the first six months (or until graduation, whichever is longer) spent training at the company's headquarters in China. The role is built around a clear path: intern, then transition into a full-time sales trainee position in Dubai after graduation. Tencent wants someone who will grow into a key player in the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) cloud market, identifying opportunities and driving revenue growth in a region where public cloud adoption is accelerating fast. The internship is hands-on from day one. You will not be fetching coffee. You will support senior sales team members with real account management, prepare and negotiate contracts, generate leads, and work directly with the Solutions Engineer team to design cloud service packages for customers. You will also analyze market trends and customer data to shape sales strategy. Tencent pairs each intern with mentors and fellows, and the China-based training period is meant to give you deep product knowledge before you move to the Dubai office. Tencent is one of the world's largest technology companies, headquartered in Shenzhen, China. It operates WeChat, one of the most-used apps on the planet, and its cloud division, Tencent Cloud, competes globally with the likes of Alibaba Cloud and AWS. The company runs major regional offices across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, and its cloud business serves industries from gaming and media to finance and retail. For a sales-focused intern, this means exposure to enterprise-scale deals and a product portfolio that spans AI, big data, and cybersecurity. Dubai is the commercial hub of the Middle East, with a fast-growing tech scene and a tax-free salary structure that makes it attractive for young professionals. The city has a large expatriate community, and English is widely spoken in the workplace. Summers are extremely hot, with temperatures regularly above 40°C, but the city is built for indoor living with extensive malls and air-conditioned public spaces. The cost of living is high, particularly for housing, though many companies offer accommodation allowances. For someone with Chinese language skills, Dubai is also a strategic location: Chinese companies are investing heavily in the region, and bilingual professionals are in strong demand.
