Tencent is hiring a Legal Intern for its Cloud division, a six-month full-time role based in Europe that places you inside the legal team of one of the world's largest technology companies. You will work under senior legal counsel on international legal and compliance matters for Tencent Cloud, the company's cloud computing arm. This is a hands-on in-house role, not a research posting. You will review real commercial contracts, track EU regulations, and prepare briefings that shape how the company operates across borders. Responsibilities
- Support the legal team in advising Tencent Cloud's international business operations
- Conduct legal and regulatory research on cloud services, data protection, AI, cybersecurity, and other technology-related regulations
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments in the European Union and other relevant jurisdictions
- Prepare legal updates and internal briefings on new regulations
- Assist in reviewing, drafting, proofreading, and translating commercial contracts and other legal documents
- Prepare internal legal memoranda, research notes, and compliance guidance
- Organize and maintain legal documentation
- Assist with other legal and compliance projects as needed

Requirements & Qualifications
- Master's degree in Law obtained in China or a European jurisdiction, or currently pursuing such a degree
- Strong legal research, analytical, and drafting skills with a solid foundation in legal principles
- Good understanding of the European Union legal and regulatory framework
- Prior exposure to technology, data protection, or commercial law is an advantage
- Excellent working proficiency in English and Mandarin Chinese to communicate with HQ in China
- French is a plus but not required
- Strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive, eager to learn, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively
- Familiarity with AI tools and legal research databases is highly desirable
- Previous internship experience in a law firm or in-house legal department is a plus but not required
- Available for a six-month full-time internship
