MSF Access Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) Advisor

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is hiring a Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) Advisor for its Access team, based at any MSF office worldwide. The position runs full-time for one year starting September 2026, with applications due by August 3, 2026. The advisor will report to the MSF Access Head of Analysis and work within the Analysis Department alongside medical, pharmaceutical, legal, and policy experts. The role focuses on leading research, analysis, and horizon scanning on SRH products and technologies. This includes examining access barriers like restrictive policies, supply shortages, market fragmentation, and slow regulatory pathways that prevent people in crisis settings from getting contraceptives, maternal health medicines, safe abortion care tools, and point-of-care STI diagnostics. The advisor will also support advocacy strategies and provide strategic recommendations for MSF's 2026-2031 strategic plan cycle. This is a senior analytical position, not a field-based clinical role, though it requires deep SRH expertise and familiarity with resource-limited settings. MSF, also known as Doctors Without Borders, is an independent international medical humanitarian organization delivering emergency assistance in over 70 countries. It assists people based solely on need, regardless of race, religion, gender, or political affiliation. MSF International, registered in Switzerland, coordinates the movement's 24 sections, 27 associations, and 18 branch offices. The Access team operates from five regional hubs: Dakar (West and Central Africa), Rio de Janeiro (Americas), Kuala Lumpur (Asia and Oceania), Nairobi (Eastern and Southern Africa), and Brussels (Europe, Middle East, and Northern Africa). The Access team tackles seven Common Priorities agreed upon by the MSF Movement: Antimicrobial Resistance, Vaccinations, Tuberculosis, Diabetes, Diagnostic Tools, Sexual Reproductive Health, and Cancer. SRH was identified as a key priority for the 2026-2031 strategic plan because preventable SRH conditions remain leading causes of death and disability for women of reproductive age globally. Complications from pregnancy and childbirth cause nearly 300,000 deaths per year, and an estimated 45% of all abortions occur in unsafe conditions in low- and middle-income countries. Working at an MSF office means joining a global network of humanitarian professionals. The role involves regular engagement with MSF technical working groups, medical referents, and experts at projects and headquarters worldwide.
