The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is hiring a Health Program Manager to lead its health and wellness portfolio in Salt Lake City, Utah. The role covers Health Access, Mental Health, Health Promotion, Community Health Work, and Intensive Case Management. The position reports to the Executive Director and supervises both the health team and the Intensive Case Management (ICM) team. The salary range is $66,068 to $74,202 annually. The program manager will oversee services for refugees, asylees, and other populations eligible for Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) programs. The work focuses on culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and strengths-based care that addresses Social Determinants of Health. The goal is to improve access to health care, safety, and long-term stability for New American communities in Utah. IRC was founded in 1933 at the call of Albert Einstein and is one of the world's largest humanitarian NGOs. It operates in more than 40 countries and 29 U.S. cities, helping people survive conflict and disaster and rebuild their lives. The organization works across health, safety, education, and economic wellbeing. This role is based in the U.S., where the IRC runs resettlement and integration programs for newly arrived refugees and asylees. Salt Lake City has a growing refugee and immigrant community, with IRC Utah providing direct services across the metro area. The work involves a mix of office time, remote work, and field visits within the service delivery area. The city has a dry, four-season climate with cold winters and hot summers. Public transit is available, but a personal vehicle is required for this role, since staff transport clients and materials throughout the region. This posting opened on July 20, 2026. IRC will prioritize current staff and recently employed IRC staff before considering external candidates.
Responsibilities
- Manage the development, implementation, compliance, and completion of all service grants and contracts in the health and wellness portfolio
- Oversee program budgets and manage expenses to keep costs within allocated budgets
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of services and programmatic data to donors and relevant parties
- Develop grant proposals and reports for all areas of contracts and grants within the department
- Satisfy recordkeeping and reporting requirements
- Use a personal, insured vehicle or public transportation to travel and transport clients and materials throughout the service delivery area
- Train and lead the activities of volunteers and interns, including potentially MSW students
- Lead the team in accordance with IRC's People Manager Standards, providing training and leadership on all program responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with internal program policies and procedures
- Serve as the point person for collaboration with partner agencies and service providers
- Represent the team within the IRC network at conferences, working groups, and other contexts
- Facilitate interdepartmental communication for monthly newsletters and program reports
- Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in social work, public health, or a related field required; graduate degree encouraged
- Relevant professional experience in human services required
- Minimum of 5+ years of supervisory experience strongly preferred

- Valid driver's license and access to a personal, insured vehicle
- Combination of standard office environment, remote work, and field time within the service delivery area
- Occasional domestic travel required, up to 10%
- May require occasional weekend and/or evening work
