About this opportunity
Opportunity Overview
FIFA is hiring a Fan Services Manager for a fixed-term, full-time role based in Brazil, working within the Tournament and Venue Operations department. This role sits at the heart of delivering a world-class experience for fans attending FIFA events, ensuring that every touchpoint, from arrival at the stadium to the final whistle, runs smoothly and safely. The position is tied to major tournament operations, so the work is intense, seasonal, and highly coordinated. The Fan Services Manager will be responsible for planning and executing fan-facing services across multiple venues. That means overseeing wayfinding, information desks, accessibility services, and crowd flow. You will work closely with local organizing committees, venue staff, and volunteers to make sure fans know where to go, what to bring, and how to enjoy the event. It is a role that combines logistics, customer service, and crisis management, often under tight deadlines and in high-pressure environments. FIFA is the global governing body of football, headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland. It organizes the World Cup, the Women's World Cup, and a range of youth and club competitions. With 211 member associations, FIFA's operations span every continent, and its tournament division is known for its rigorous planning standards and massive scale. Working for FIFA means being part of a highly professional, fast-moving organization where precision and teamwork are non-negotiable. Brazil is a football-obsessed nation with a deep tournament history, having hosted the 2014 World Cup and the 2019 Copa AmΓ©rica. Working there means dealing with tropical heat, large crowds, and passionate fans who expect a high-energy atmosphere. Portuguese is the local language, though English is common in professional and tournament settings. The cost of living varies widely by city, with SΓ£o Paulo and Rio de Janeiro being the most expensive. For international applicants, securing a work visa is typically handled through the employer, but the process takes time, so early preparation is key.
